Owner Barbara Luna Tedrow took the plunge into Early Childhood Education and bought her first center in 2000. Over the next 5 months, Mrs. Barbara learned the ins-and-outs of running a child care facility, working nights and weekends while pregnant with her own child and maintaining her day job as an HR manager in the oil industry. Over 20 years later, Mrs. Barbara remains fully committed to offering safe, comprehensive care to families in her community—the same care she was seeking for her growing family.
Today, Mrs. Barbara, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems, uses all of her business savvy and early childhood education experience to advocate for you and your family’s best interests on a local, state, and federal level, to ensure your child always receives the respect, care, and education they deserve.
Mrs. Barbara’s many advocacy efforts include:
- Membership in and service as president of the San Juan Rotary Club
- Membership in the Chamber of Commerce
- Membership in and Early Childhood Expert of San Juan Safe Communities
- Service as Policy Chair of the non-profit NM Child Care & Education Association
- Service as Chair of the governor-appointed NM Early Learning Advisory Council
Mrs. Barbara fights tirelessly for higher subsidies, expansion of free Pre-K, and better pay for early childhood educators, all of which means even more exceptional care and education for your child.

Curriculum Tailored For Kindergarten Readiness
Participation in NM Focus and NM Pre-K means teachers can tailor curriculum within the state Early Learning Standards. They observe and assess every child to plan lessons and activities that cater to strengths and interests while addressing any potential gaps.
